Is there a plugin for sketchup to export to .DBO format?

You can import .3ds files.

And if you really want, you can always convert that (through code) to a .dbo file.

It takes way too much time to load a simple object in dbpro as .3DS format much less a whole level.. I'm starting to thing it's impossible to export directly to .DBO format for any good 3D editors.

There are 3DS to DBO converters, and X to DBO converters.

If you have 3DsMax, you can use a plug-in "Panda exporter" and export directly to .x

Cheers.

There's a sketchup plugin that export to X format. It works wonderfully: http://www.3drad.com/Google-SketchUp-To-DirectX-XNA-Exporter-Plug-in.htm

Thebeely, that plugin is out of date and only works with Sketchup v5 I think?

I regularly save from sketchup as 3DS then save the object (from DBP) as a dbo. It's the easiest way to get from SU to DBP without using plugins...

Works for me!

Large 3DS models tend to freeze it up though. Not sure what the limit is but keep it in mind!

Here's a utility I made for converting other formats to "DBO"...

DBO Maker

I think it works OK

3DS is slow to load in DBPro. So best to convert to Dbo.
