Hello, I am proudly from the X10 forums. I have entered the Defy the Odds competition and i am currently working on my very first game. I have spent a while now going through the forums, reading peoples hints and tips and i have been making practice maps for a while now. I have finally reached the stage whereas i feel confident that i could release a game that doesn't completely stink!

I am in desperate need of a few voice actors. (mainly because i have a Manchester accent and that will NEVER sound good in games! lol.

I will need ...

1 - Steven Kane - deep, powerful, intelligent.
2 - John - old, husky, some European accent
3 - Geoff - older, crackly throat, weathered security guard
4 - ICAI - commanding, clear.

If anyone is interested, please contact me and i will send you the script. Thank you

I know someone who may be interested in this. He's not on the forums but I sent him a link to this page.

@srealist

That would be great. Just give him my email address. What sort of accent does he have? It's not massively important, just curious.

'Merican accent. But he is very good with voices. And in case you are worried, given my location, he does not speak with a southern accent.

@srealist

I have no real preference of accent nor do i have any dislike for any. As i said, i was merely curious. Thanks for looking into it for me. Appreciated.

What about you? wouldn't you be interested? It's only for my first game! I doubt very much that it will become famous! lol. I need 4 people really. Two more than others. The main character (Steve) and his companion (ICAI) *shhh, i have said too much*

@Bestorio

You don't have to be old. That's just the feeling that i had for one of the security guards. (he isn't an integral part of the story) Just something to fill in.

If you are interested, i can send you some more info.

The guard doesn't have to be old. Thats just how i imagined him to be.

The guard is really just there to make the entrance lobby a little less boring. The player doesn't actually have to stay and talk to him as he doesn't really add to the story. He merely asks redundant questions (like a real security guard) stuff like,

"hi Steve, your working late! Why are you in at this time of night?"

"hows the family?"

Just that sort of thing. The player can chose to run right past him or they can stop and listen to what he has to say.
