Hi...

it's possible to create a game in windowed mode (FPSCx9 1.18 with mod WASP)

I tried this :
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=170909&b=21

but don't work.

Thanks

We use this windowed mode from knxrb a lot and it works for us, although we're currently running FPSC v1.17 and no mods.

When we build our game, we put the EXE he provided in the folder with our game's EXE, and the windowed.txt file goes in the Files folder of the build game (along with an image of the icon we want in the window's corner). You may need to check to ensure you have done the same setup.

The readme also tells what the settings are for the windowed.txt file.

ADDED: Taken from knxrb's first post in the thread for this applet:

Quote: "It has been tested with the Stock FPSC exe but I've been unable to test it with mods yet (other than Horror Mod), so you guys will have to let me know how it goes with those"

You might want to take your question to the Wasp Mod thread and ask the developers there.

@technotdc: If you want then send me the files for your game and I'll take a look at what's happening via the source code.
Or if you don't want to send the files then record a video of what's happening and what setup you have.
It may be something I can adjust and fix for everyone

Yes, we still use it quite regularly. Greatest innovative idea since sliced bread

@technotdc: Thanks for the video, I'll take what I saw there and see what I can do about it for you. In the meantime you can try increasing the embed delay value in the 'windowed.txt' file to a larger value and see if that works.
Time how long it takes for the game window to open and then set the embed delay to that amount of time. Each second is equal to 1000 for the embed delay, so one second is 1000.

Thanks, GUI-X9 is going on sale soon, FPSC IP is being worked on and I'm working on a new project as well; it'll change the way source mods are made for FPSC in a big way, opening it up to a lot more people
