Is there a way to retrieve lost source code? I was up until 4am last nite finishing up a small database thing. My application exe is still the same as last nite but the source code is not in my project. The last thing I done before closing was save all. Does anyone know a solution to get this code back?!

Thanks

There's a couple of things to try.

Firstly, load up your .DBA files in notepad, and look for some obvious corruption, like a block of random characters for instance. This used to happen on the old version of the IDE.

Another option is to look for the full source dump used by the compiler, so maybe you can get it back to the state you last compiled. Look in your install folder for DBPro, and the temp folder, you should find a .DBA file called FullSourceDump.dba.

Thanks, I found my files within the temp folder. What would have caused this?

If your using the old IDE, then it's probably an old bug - there was an unofficial patch for that, however your probably better off using an alternative IDE. DBPro comes with a new IDE these days.
