I recommend using Sparky's collision plugin, it is fairly easy to use and very flexible. Here is a link http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=74762&b=5

Using Sparky's 'Sphere' collision and the camera can help greatly. Group collision is very useful too. Sliding collision will return x,y,z values after a collision to where you should place you object/camera...

Still use DGDK's camera. When you download sparkys there are some examples (with code) demonstrating collision and raycasting, I recommend to start there.

sc_spherecast() functions will help with camera collision to. Just the same as you would with normal object collision.
