Is 3d Studio Max good for DBPro? If so, how do you export a model with animation by 3dsmax?

You need to use CS Physique then export to the .3ds format. Otherwise it isn't possible.

this really should be in the 3D Section...

there are several ways to export animations from Max,
DirectX Exporters (Panda & Microsoft)
3ds
Quake2 & 3 formats
Half-Life Format

each require a different way to export your animations... all depends on what you want to accomplish.
If DBP was compatible with Spline animations i'd say use Dx as it would've been able to export ANY type of animation, Bone/Mesh/Heirachy

As it stands you can only export Heirachy and Bone if you use Character Studio - However it is possible to setup a template Bone Structure.

But how do you export a model??? The one on the File menu only got 3ds and some files which aren't compatible for DBPro. But when I ran the 3ds file on the DBPro, it exits instantly. How come that happens? Are there any other ways to export? (Oh yeah, mine is Version 5.0)

Why would you need Character Studio ... you can animate the mesh with IK and the standard bone system. The save a 3DS file, or export to what ever formats you have an exporter for - being that DB supports it.

The exporter works fine , but I still got a prob. I exported a face model (Pandasoft X Exporter), but it came out that the limb on the jaw part moved forward. How come???

because the DirectX Exporters actually use the Physiqué modifier, don't ask me why cause i ain't got a clue.
Sensible thing would be to support both because personally I find CStudio a pain in the ass to work with.
But hey... thats Discreet for ya

Like skin and flex but with a load more features and more complicated. However, its worth learning how to use cos physique can do pretty amazing stuff, and i find assigning weights easier in some cases.

But there is the draw back of it costing a lot of money. (about £1500 last time i checked )
