So I have learned many things the last copple days and I read a thread 2 days ago To just load in all .dbo files and this will incress the loading times.

well I did this and my loading times went from 2 min to 20 seconds,WOW,WHAT A DIFFRENCE,Also my game speed up as far as frame rate.

Why is this? What is the diffrence to .dbo to .x? I know that .dbo is the default file type for dbp but there has to be another real reson.

even if i compress all my .x files it take a long time to load.

my signature keeps being erased by a mod So this is my new signature.

Dark Basic needs to "translate" the .x files when it loads them, where as with DBO files don't need this extra step.

Compressing a file will make it take even longer, as it needs uncompressing first before loading.

This makes sence, I dont mind converting them all it just takes more of my time up is all.
