Hello,
I'm not sure that this is the right place to post, but I can't find any better.
I'm fairly new to DBpro, and using Blender 2.5 for model-making.
I've made several (placeholder) animated models, exported to .x format, and they've worked fine. However, this one has gone wrong.
When I exported it, I got a screen full of error messages and it is skewed beyond recognition. Attached is the .blend file.

Can anyone get my model to export correctly, or tell me whats wrong?

Thankyou in advance,
GenericRandom1

What script have you used to export?, and what format have you exported?

Cheers.

No worrys Miscreant

You need to assign your vertices to bones using vertex groups. Currently your animation is working with envelopes, which DirectX will not use.

Switch your modifier to use Vertex Groups only, and you will see that the animation is distorted.

You will need to follow my Blender 2.5 tutorial on exporting for DirectX, and look up the Vertex Group section in the Blender Documentation.

Another thing, is that you do not have to parent the mesh to the armature; just add the armature modifier and that will suffice.

Thanks Chris!

My model works perfectly now. You've literally saved my project!
Great tutorials by the way.

Thanks again,
