Hi, I've been playing around with altering the texture files for my FPSC models and I wonder if there is a layout you can use for the image file that allows you to have non symmetrical features.

is there a way?

or is this just a constraint I have to work within?

thankyou

Could you expand on what exactly you mean by "non-symetricall"? I cant really get an idea ATM

Cheers,

ok. when I open up my texture dds file I find that the texture has been designed to use only half the face and mirror it for the other side and the same for every body part.
I could post the texture but don't want to infringe on any licensing issues.

however i would like to have non symmetrically textured models. I am wondering if there is a different image layout that allows me to have a left and right side of the body in the texture file.

thankyou

Oh, i get it. So basically, theres only half a characters texture and it has just been mirrored over in the modelling app? If this is the case, then Im afraid there is probably no way of achieving a non-symetrical texture unless you re- uv map the model which is definitely an option

Ofcourse there might be other options, but as of know Im not aware of them. Ill let you know if I think of some way though

Cheers,
Anayar
