Hi,
can someone explain to me why if I create a simple animation in 3ds max when I rotate a box on Z-axis rotates the DB PRO rotates the box on X-axis? If i load the same object in dark basic it works.
So db pro is worser than dark basic?
and this should be a serious program?

i attach the example !!!

Some 3d modelling programs save there objects out using different coordinates systems. If you're exporting an object try the difference between left handed and right handed coords. One of these should solve the problem.

Plus, you're better off exporting as a .x object if you can. .3ds files have always seemed to have issues.

Take a look at Panda exporter for 3DS Max to export to ".X". I found it confusing at first too but you get used to it.

DBPro is not worse than DB, just different

now i have a new animation problem.
i fix the pivot on the hand of my hero in 3ds max
Now i want glue a cube on his hand (limb 21)
When i use: glue object to limb 2,1,21
The cube is show on his left shoulder
Why ? i think db pro can read angle of the limb but not the position
of the pivot because the cube is on the shoulder
also if i set all other limb.

I don't know much about the general usage of Panda as it's been a while since I had access to 3DS Max but you could try asking on the 3D forum for help with any issues in Panda:

I haven't used DB so I don't know how it works. All I will say is that change is not something that is occurs for no reason. Limb positions can be used in DBPro (I use them to position weapons all the time), perhaps you are using the wrong limb number?

You can find the limb number by name in DBPro, I believe the limb you are looking for is called "FIRESPOT"...

Limbs and their positions tend to be messed up with certain exporting methods, there is something like "text", "binary" etc options in the Panda exporter, you should try all of them out, because if i remember correctly there are 3 options there, and only one will give you usable limb structure. Though even if you can detect the limbs in DBPro, it sometimes (i don't have a clue why, really...) loves to detect dozens of them, however there is only 2 in 3DSMax.

Yeah, i hate this part of the development too. This isn't really DBPro's privilege though, every platform has its incredibly time consuming crap.

There exists an other exporter for newer Max versions i haven't tried yet, you should check that out too.

set cursor 0,0
for c=1 to checklist quantity()
print checklist string$(c)
next c
i discove that my limb hand was 20 not 21
Now work. see file attached. "mano_destra" is "hand_right".
