Hi, I noticed this just lately and wanted to share.

REMEMBER TO UPDATE TO LATEST VERSION OF FPSC

HERE IS THE SUNLIGHT TUTORIAL
Open setup.ini and change the lines as following:

if you want to include this when you build your game, also edit buildsetup.ini

The sun will now be on the left side of the editor.
For realism you can edit the location of the light to mach your skybox by changing the .ini file

HERE IS THE LIGHTRAY TUTORIAL
Again, open setup.ini
And edit the following:

Now you have lightrays!

These will be positioned to the top of the map editor.
This can be changed in-game with "page up" and "page down" buttons.

hope this help

EDIT: examples can be seen HERE: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=187573&b=25

Also, as a sidenote, I found out that lightrays may somewhat drop your fps by about 5-10 depending on the size/detail of your level.

Thanks for the sun tutorial, will come in handy.

The lightrays cause another problem (besides the lower framerate)
for some objects, such as doors and other entities.
it creates a strange look to them.
(I think this only happens to dynamic objects.)
The lightrays take the color of the object and "drag" it.

-.- because they have not the needed shader.
that's what I'm telling everytime, as TGC has not included all needed files!

That is funny, I am assumming they aren't using Evolved's lightrays shader then, as that one works with any object. (Dynamic or Static, with or without any shader.)

UPDATE:
If you have used the "sunlight" you have probably noticed that your guns are dark. (depending on your ambiance settings)

This can simply be fixed by putting a static light under your level.
this allows shaders to work correctly, and the guns won't be dark anymore!
