Hi guys

I'm working on a game that has a lot of action underwater. What I'm trying to achieve is a screen distortion effect, similar to that of the Memblock example that comes with DBPro, but using 3D.
I tried using Get Image in order to get a similar effect, but this was just too slow, and practically killed my frame rate. Does anyone know of any shaders that could achieve this? If you need further understanding of the effect I'm trying to create, watch this video.

Yes I know this game is 12 years old, but it showcases the underwater effect I want so clearly

Thanks in advance!

I found that video too low res to be useful.

However, do you mean the distortion you see when the viewer is above the water and looks down at something below the water surface? If so then someone posted a distortion effect a while back. It might have been Morcilla. I'll try to find the link and post back. It could be just what you need.

Edit Here's the link. It was using Sixty Squares Heat Haze effect I think:

Sorry Green Gandalf - it's kinda hard to get High Res from a PS1 game...

But that is just what I'm looking for! Thanks
