Screenshot Competition Resurrection (Resurrection) #1

-------------------------------------------------------------------
THIS WEEK'S WINNERS

Best Screenshot
Wolf

Runner Up
Vent
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Figured I’d take another stab at hosting a competition, and one that I really enjoyed from a year or so back that I'd like to see going again.

##Objective##

Submit a screenshot taken from FPS Creator [X9] or [X10] appropriate for the current theme. The most visually appealing screen capture wins.

##Rules##

-You MAY use either X9 or X10 to create your entry.

-You may only submit 1 screenshot as your final entry for the current competition.

-All screenshots must be sized to 800x600 resolution and either displayed in or attached to your post in this thread in JPG format.

-You may NOT use photo manipulation effects to enhance your image.

##This Week’s Theme##
Flashflood

Whether it be a subway, a cellar, Metro Theater, or marshland; create your masterpiece and then flood it with water effects and shaders—puddles, streams, and cascades.

##Previous Winner##
N/A

##Deadline##
Monday, November 7th, 11:59pm/US/EST

##Prizes##

First Place

-Either pick an additional theme for the next competition or be the judge of the next competion.
-Choice of any 2 models or model pack bundles from my GC Store account
-Both of TiTaniUm's segment packs.

Runner Up

-Choice of any 1 model or model pack bundle from my GC Store account
-Choice of either grunge or scifi segment pack from TiTaniUm.

Very original idea for a theme. So many situations that can be captured.

I recently learned to sleep with my eyes open. ..... God am I tired

I'm going to enter in this, Is it possible to enter 2 screenshots of the same area? I have a great idea in mind needs either 1 really well positioned screenshot, Or 2 screenshots.

I remember I hosted the last two or three of these. I hope they go well, they are really good for the community
I'll see if I can whip up something.

By the way, you can add this to the prize list.

First place winner = Both of my segment packs
Runner Up = Can pick either grunge or scifi segment pack.

edit;
Dug up my old thread for it. Turned out quite a hit I hope your resurrections gather the same if not more attention!

Good luck to all

Ooh! Nostalgia kicking in, I love it! I really enjoyed participating in these in the past, and seeing all the great stuff the community could whip together. Thanks for resurrecting it Kraven! I shall get started...

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

You can see the top of the waterfall entity maxiqueen, look at the attached file to see what i mean. Just move them a bit to get rid of that..

Thanks guys. Yeah, I figured the theme was a fairly original one to go with. Was hoping that would help draw more attention.

@maxiqueen, so far you're the only one running; could be in the bag for you. Only 4 days to go.

EDIT:

@TiTaniUm, added, thanks.

Here's my submission. I wasn't 100% satisfied with it but alas, I couldn't figure out where else to go with it or how else to alter the scene.

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Braden 713 has my vote,

Anyone that puts a crow on a sign post and position next to the moon sky-box with a fire engine crashing into someone's flooded garden with a floating lamp that's still alight, gets my vote!
nice.

Looking great so far, you guys. Love all of the theme variations in the screens.

@maxiqueen123, yes; you may update your screenshot if you like, just be sure to mention which version you want to be used as your final entry.

Yeah... I know its not the prettiest thing I've ever done, but its my submission anyway. The raindrobs are a little hard to see on a static image but they are there. Best visible up on the left corner

Here is another look. the one immediately visible is the entry though. This one however shows the drops a little better.

Best luck to everybody!!

Wow, everyone's screens are looking superb! Awesome to see the talent of the community emerging in little ways like this. Everyone has a very different, powerful feel in their shots - Wolf, if you didn't tell me that was FPSC, I would not have pegged it as such

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

It's actually in Bond1's Metro Theater pack he released quite some time ago now (at least it seems a while ago now), along with a few other great variants. Model Pack 38.

@TheHitchhiker - If you don't mind me asking, where did you get those segments/textures? Did you make them yourself? Or did you get them off of the FPSC forum?

Other than that, great job on it!

Been playing Uncharted 3... So I made a treasure hunter's set up on a flooding ship.

I covered up the HUD with black bars, I hope that's ok.

@Anayar - The water is a water zone, the buildings in the back are an entity and not a skybox because they are casting a shadow on the water. And the Statue is also an entity, but i could be wrong about that one.. How did i do?
