Hello, I have Avira's Antivir Personnal Free, and it detects an infected file named dbprobitmapdebug.DLL ( see attached ) as a trojan

Does this file is really dangerous or related to FPSC and in this case, harmless for my computer ?

Regards,
Jaden.

False positive.

I've been using the free Microsoft Security Essentials in place of AVG and other free antivirus for a while now. It's excellent and fast, and doesn't give as many false positives as the others.

I had gotten this many months ago with AVG. We reported it to them and sent it to AVG. They fixed their product so it wouldn't give a false positive again. However, MSE is a good choice as a free AV app.

The 2012 AVG has really improved. I don't have it on my main desktop but I do have it on my laptop. I have been using AVG on the laptop forever and it also has DBPro on it. I have MSE on my desktop.

Hmmm? Interesting. I have AVG on my laptop and it doesn't. That is crazy. Oh well, if one doesn't want the false positive then change the AV app. Anyway, the important thing here is that it s false positive and the file does not have a virus.

Nickydude do you have 2012 version of AVG?

AVG loves false positives.
