The book featured on this website, how is it?
Does it prove useful for either beginning programmers as wel as intermediate ones?
In what extent does it cover DarkBasic Pro?

I tried a search over the net already, but could not find any additional information, so please enlighten me!

It is overpriced but there isn't much else to use for help, except here and a few other sites for DB. The book isn't all that bad actually and it comes with a cd full of games made in DB and some software. However, once you get to the 3d section it is kind of bleek. I suppose thats a too big topic to fit in one book.

I bought it and was really quite dissapointed. it sys in the intro that it is for both DB and Db Pro with possibly even a leaning towards Pro, then a chapther or two in it says the opposite. I have found it very frustrating, some of the projects won't compile in Pro even though I ran them from the Pro folder that came on the CD. It has some good back ground info but the 3D section was absolutely USELESS in almost every way. While it is well written the content is fairly poor and the examples dull. I would love to see a book on DBPro focussing around making a few small games or one big game Using the 3D tools. After all, the majority of games are 3D after all. To the Author if you read this:
Write a book for Pro focussing on 3D with a consistent project right throughout and I will buy it. But I was dissapointed with this book (and I did buy it).

buy the PS2 Game Firewarrior (I worked on it as a level artist)

It spends too long describing the easy commands, and then rushes over 3d and multiplayer commands, still a good read though.

I agree with anseyder, someone should write a book on 3d commands

I am trying to set a community project for a DarkBasic pro book. It will reference all the commands with short practical examples. I just had an injury that set em back but there is interest of a few people helping.
Please help out even if it isn't for a full section. This project will help everyone.
