I was going to participate, but the scene i was building just decided to not work (the lighting..). I had some lights in it, in which i realized that i couldn't have.. Anyways, my vote is for Doomster because that just looks amazing! And yes it does look like the mission from COD. Doomster, maybe you should try and remake that whole mission of COD in FPSC! That would be awesome! It would be a lot of time and scripting, but it would be sweet! Just a suggestion

Alright, time for the announcment:

Winner: D O O M S T E R: I think we all agree that this swimming pool in pripyat clearly stands out in terms of execution, feel and visual quality. If your game only looks half as good, its going to be a complete success.

Runner up: X G A M E S Congratulations, nice work. This screenshot has a sense of realism to it and seems to be straight out of a brothers in arms game. It doesn't feel artificial at all. Why not make some mystery game with this exact look to it?

>><<>><<>><<>><<

Because no award can be given without some twat ranting, here I go:

This competition has proven the sheer talent in some users I haven't seen before. I really wonder why I don't see such imagery in the Work in Progress Board more often.

@northern: This has a special feel to it. Your image reminds me of AAA Shooter titles of the 99 - 2000 aera

@anayar: Very grim scene and nice work with the planes But why the static overlay? It casts a really ugly shadow :/

@Ben09: This looks like a still from an old point and click adventure. Very nice, why not starting a project with this look?

@Bugsy: Yours would have been place 3. Very nicely done

Alright, I'm done, congratulations to the winners!!

Quote: "I do notice, however, that there is a telephone pole with floating wires outside the window"

Haha, indeed, I had the hope that no one would notice that eventually, since it's quite far away from the camera.
I originally wanted to change that, but couldn't really add more things to the map, without getting 0 FPS as a result - my old PC doesn't like "open" maps that much.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback (review) about my screeshot.

Also congratulations to the winners of this competition, Doomster and Xgames, actually very nice screenshots lads.

Blackout theme was a bit difficult to me because it is very difficult to make any nice screeshot of the darkness.

Cheers.

@X Games, yes, runner ups can participate in the follow-up competition. And considering what you said regarding your prize, if you would like, send me an email and we can figure something out

@Everyone else, Comp. #3 will be up shortly.

EDIT: Number 3's up, and EAI's weapons have been added to the prize list.
