i don't come here often cause i post and i come back 5 days later and no one has replied, lol it seems like there is a max of about 5 people on at any given time.

also i just don't like this forum, i mean the forum itself -- it's somewhat buggy, not very full-featured and pretty slow.

I'll have to agree with Drake X, on the point that the forum is buggy, not full featured, etc. This forum has been out for a long time, there really isn't a reason why dev on it seems to have come to a stop.

He is working very hard on somming, or thats what i seem to be getting from him.

It is actually quite fast.

And one last thing, i love these more than RGT

i like this forum alot better than RGT. only problem is there are very few people here. The RGT color scheme is to dark for me. This one feels nice and clean.

Yup, got to agree, life without RGT is very boreing.

I even posted some urls to demos here, thats how bored i am without RGT. lol, Wouldnt have bothered otherwise.

Guys is an unsung hero in the db world.

Not only did he keep the forums going when DB abandoned theyre official forums, and YES they did abandon them, he's written the pro IDE, held a db convention and organised competitions.

And why isn't there a huge link to RGT and the RGT forums on the official db site, surely thats the least they could do in return.

Those of us in the know, hang out at RGT, just a shame the forums have gone down several times recently, but i think we've all experienced sites going down at some point or other. All part n parcel of net access. We all know guys dedication to DB, and he does know what he's doing, unlike some others here, "raven vageta" so you can be sure he's taking steps to correct any faults.

I for one give guys my upmost respect and support.

I agree, GuyS needs to find a better host - since he switched I've had crashes ever day (Server memory thing - remember?) and now that's the second time they're down.

And yes, I do prefer RGT as it's got a lot more users and is a huge resource in terms of material.

I love Star Trek.

Agreed. AHH WHERE IS FMTau?? I NEED A POPULATED FORUM!! AHHH! I dont mind the RGT colors, in fact, I sortof like them. These forums go with the whole DarkBasicPro page though. The RGT colors just would be right over here, and these colors wouldnt be right over there. The whole website theme. I do agree, these forums are a little unfeatured, but they are starting to grow on me because there arent CONSTANT CRASHES and LOW MEMORY MESSAGES!!! Gets annoying.

so i assume you see in the ultraviolet spectrum? the RGT color sceme it very light green-grey in case you didn't notice. it's very bright.

i personally want to see how my topics are doing on RGT... it's been so long i forget what they are lol

this is boring

so instead i'm learning how to use SDL IN C++!! wee i have an animated sprite moving around the screen now it's really no more difficult than DB, when you get used to it...

But I do agree .... this forum is a bit boring. Which is why I haven't been here for so long.

I can think of one person here who now wishes the RGT forum will be back up soon.... so I don't piss on his parade !!

yup c++ is easy... i just got my hands on the torque engine from tribes 2... bad video game... i wonder what i can make it do ... i like these forums more... it seems everyone over here is an oldie... O_O

Where is Guy? He was gone for a long time before the forum went down. Now we may have to wait for him to get it up again. I can't take it much longer...

This forum lacks features and replies. If you post something in RGT you probably get an answer within 1h unless you really post at a bad time or a completly uninteresting post. Here you seem to be lucky to get a post the same day. I'm glad that this forum finally shows threads with unread posts. It's great that the new posts are in a different color though, RTG doesn't have that ,:')

The biggest niggle I have with this forum is the lack of an image attach button. I mean, if I wanted to show a screenshot, I'd have to upload it to my website first, then paste the url. Sorry, but that's a real pain in the ass, if RGT is gone forever then I don't think it will make me post here more often.

One quick thing about these forums and inserting images - Paste the URL, highlight it, then click the [img] button. That's how it works, by changing a piece of highlighted text to the correct format.
