Hey there,
I am working on a model of a cartoony style airplane and noticed something about the way DBpro seems to be loading my model. On the side of my model the word "NAVY" appears in white letters on the texture map of the body. This can be read normally in 3D Exploration as the 3ds file it starts as and after I convert it to a .x file for DBPro. When I load the model into my DBpro program and run it though, the word "NAVY" is backwards, like the X coords of the model are being reversed somehow.

Here is the view in my program:http://home.comcast.net/~joshuadolan/art/DBpro_view.jpg

Here is the view of the same model in 3D Exploration:http://home.comcast.net/~joshuadolan/art/norm_view.jpg

Anybody know what's going wrong? Is there a command I am not using in DBpro to load the model correctly? Thanks!

What is it like on the other side?
Looks like a texture mapping problem..of box UV mapping..if one side is right and one is not..
If NAVY is meant to be only visible on one side simply mirror the word in the texture

It looks the same on both sides...the NAVY is the same on both sides in each program, normal in 3D Exploration and reversed in DBpro. It's meant to be on both sides too. I know I could fix it by changing my texture, but the problem is larger than that. The model itself seems to be getting confused in DBpro because if I load up the full model of the plane, the propeller is backwards. It is supposed to rotate counter clockwise when spinning, but the blades appear in DBpro reversed so that it would have to spin clockwise which isn't how I designed it.

Here is a pic from Wings3D editing the model, note the angle of the propeller blades. http://home.comcast.net/~joshuadolan/art/sdcorsair2.jpg
And here is a pic from DBpro without any textures:http://home.comcast.net/~joshuadolan/art/sdcorsair.jpg

I think your whole model is mirrored. Add a feature on one wing to remove the symetry, then check if a switch is set to stop this.
