Is there anyway to detect wether the user has a joystick connected and if so if it is analogue or digital or even if it has force feedback capability?

Obviously you can check by asking the user at the menu page but I was hoping that it could be done automatically.

Thanks Ian.

A value of 1 in checklist A indicates a force feedback joystick but
do any of the other checklist values indicate analogue or digital joystick?

I suppose not many people would have digital joysticks now anyway. So maybe I can forget about it.

You mean analog right? Digital Joysticks Rock! (More true...no jumping about usually) Great for controlling that jet on its way to land on a carrier where hair line inputs make the difference between landing and fishing
