Hello Folks,

Just one question:

Is possible to create in FPSC a driveable helicopter in 3rd person view, similar to the Conjured Chopper? Or anything of this kind?

Does anyone have an initial idea to help?

Thanks,

007

I don't think so without a mod, Fpsc only supports 1rst person view.

Actually, it would very possibly be do-able with WASP mod now being integrated into vanilla FPSC v1.19

So I guess you could look around on the Google code page to get early access when they put all of that in. I'm not sure exactly which features are being added though.

I know all about wasp mod, 3rd person does not even work right in wasp mod nore fpsc.

with that being said, if this is what you want then use dark basic pro.

my signature keeps being erased by a mod So this is my new signature.

It would be possible with a lot of improvising and modding.

The final outcome however would not live up to the enormous work you would have to put in. Its a first person shooter creator. Deal with that, or use a coding language to implement your own features.

And even though "DBP is the way to go." with that being said, if this is what you want then use dark basic pro." are useless one liners, they are basically right. If you want a third person game or even functional vehicules, you are better off building your own engine from ground up.

This however will take you ages if you have no coding experience and is not for everyone.

okay, I know this is a bit "out there" but this is something I did with an old half life 1 mod I created. This is a work around, instead of displaying a model weapon in the users hud use a model of a helicopter. When the user pushes certain keys the helicopter can animate accordingly. Normally a weapon is aligned to the right of the screen. The helicopter model can be centered as if it was in 3rd person view. Just a suggestion.
