I've found this App (http://twolivesleft.com/Codea/) which is basically a development tool using the iPad directly. The point here is not the app itself, but the fact that it was accepted in the AppStore. If you think about it, it is also a game "runtime", but the difference from AppGameKit Player is that it has the editor/assets built in.

So, I wonder if the AppGameKit Player had a very simple code editor built-in, and the ability to read source code from another place (email, dropbox, whatever), and also the ability to load the Media folder, we could have the actual engine running there.

I understand it is a lot of work, but it doesn't have to have fancy editor capabilities, since the idea is not have a full dev tool, but just please AppStore rules. I'd think this is enough:

- Very simple editor
- Ability to read source code from another location (Dropbox integration?)
- Ability to copy the media folder to test the application. AFAIK, iTunes has a method to load files to applications - this could be used. But Dropbox could be used here as well.

Having these features, I believe the application would be seen as a runtime as before, but as a dev tool like this Codify/Codea, or even stretching a little bit, like My Doodle Game.

That would be neat! What do you think about this, TGC?

Cheers
