Got a strange problem that I wonder if anyone has seen.
Basically I have a some level with a win zone, but when I end the win zone the level does not end. It's the only win zone in the level, there are no other objectives in the level so I can't think what's wrong. I've also tried using the "win" command, but the level still doesn't end. I fear I may have to rebuild the level, but I thought I'd see if anyone else has had this problem.

Hey Ched
Are you using an early 1.18 beta. I ask because this was a problem in the early betas.

I recently learned to sleep with my eyes open. ..... God am I tired

I'm using a custom version of v119, but the problem happens using the official release of v118 too. I think my level must have gotten corrupted.

I'm not sure that it has, although that's possible I suppose. Are you sure that an entity didn't slip in that has the objective set? That happens to me sometimes. Or I think I want an object as an objective and then change my mind and forget to reset it. There have been times I had to look at every single entity in the level, and, sure enough I find an entity that is set to 1. Also, there are entities that, by default, have their objective flag set to 1. Just for the sake of testing, did you try setting Winzone object to 1 instead of 2? You didn't change the main AI of the zone did you? You might of deleted some important script, like the script that activates all within the zone.

Another thing to try would be, to replace the winzone script on purpose, since you're using 1.19, you could use following script:

Quote: ":state=0,plrwithinzone=1:win,state=1"

The "win" command automatically sets all objectives to "True", so, if Flatlander's right and the problem's indeed that some entity has another objective value set, it should end correctly then.

I already had the "win" command in the trigger zone. Looking at the script state, it is calling the win command, but the level still does not end.

I've now re-built the whole level from scatch, and i get the same problem. I double checked all entities and only the win zone has IsObjective greater than 0.

This is really frustrating.

Got my level to end in the...erm...end.

Had to remove a script displaying some HUDs, lord only knows why this hud script interfered with the "win" command.

Hi ched80,

i had same problem using v1.18 final release, I had a map that worked fine for ages, then i move a charater near the end zone that spawned from trigger elswhere, and after a headache trying to figure it out, i moved the character 4 squares away and deleted win zone, saved map, exit program, ran cleaner, and tried map agin and all ok

so then i thought i would make the problem happen again by moving the character within 1 square of the win zone, and the problem happened again.

Oh by the way it only seem to happen using one of the characters from the Taskforce pack

And so on my other pc the map was ok using the charaters from the taskforce pack , but had problem again, but this time it was down to some of my waypoints going across another trigger.

Anyway it took me days to fix this problem, and hope that this bit of info can help others also.

I'am not GOD but i can make you see again by taking my fingers out of your eyes and i can make you walk again by taking your beer away, but if you take my beer you will not walk again
