Ok, i want to submit a program for the Alien Ware comp.
I have the full source converted to DBPro (it was originally in DBC, but i d/l'd the trial of DBPro).
But, when i compile the code, it has those splash screens and also the logo in the bottom right of the game screen.

Here's my question;
Is it legal if i;
1) Create the game fully in DBPro then;
2) Give my source to someone who owns the full version of DBPro and;
3) Get that person to compile the code for me, so it doesn't contain the splash screens or the logo.

If i did that, and submitted my game (it wouldn't be for anythign but the alien ware comp, i plan to make the final project Open-source) would that be allowed?

Thanks...

If your friends copy of DBP is legal, then yes, it's a legal process. There is nothing wrong with sharing source. Do try to buy your own copy of Pro when you can though... really, it's worth it .

Let's hope the person who compiles it for you doesn't want to increase their own chances of winning by altering yours
