Hello all,

I have been trying to compile the FPSC 1.17 source code for a while now, and I can never get it to fully compile.

It says in the README:

Quote: "There should ultimately be three DLLs in the LICENSED folder and two DLLs in the USER folder"

Well, I never got any new DLLs for the USER folder. Am I actually missing something?

Thank you,
Captain Coder

I still work with and compile FPSC v1.17 with no issues at all. In the U75 Extras archive, you will find three DLL's in the plugins-licensed folder:

DarkAI.dll
EnhancementsFree.dll
LightMapper.dll

You will need those in your plugins-licensed folder to compile the v1.17 source.

As far as the plugins-user folder, I have quite a few dll's in there so I am not too sure what you might be missing.

Make sure your DBP is upgraded to the latest upgrade.

Will it work with the free versions of the dlls?

Cheers.

God help me, Please.

All I have are the U7.5 DLLs. Is there another set of DLLs?

What compile errors are you getting ?

People say you don't have to buy dark lights and dark ai but I can't compile the source with out having these installed.

all the dlls u need are in the 7.5dlls.

Here is the error DBP gives me, followed by the line it doesn't like:

Here's the error, followed by the line of code that DBP doesn't like:

Could not understand command at line 3958.

load static objects universefile$,gdividetexturesize

I have DAI and DarkLights, so that shouldn't be a problem.

When I downloaded U7.5, it didn't come with a plugins-user folder, even though one was referenced in the README. So am I actually missing something?

Thank you,
Captain Coder

The U75 Extras are available here. There is a plugins-user and the readme explains what to do.

Just downloaded it. There is no plugins-user folder in the download!

So what do I do now?

Thanks everyone,
Captain Coder

EDIT: I'm sorry if this question seems to be stupid, but will these DLLs also compile the latest 1.19 source code on the Google code board?

I stand corrected. It is plugins-licensed, not plugins-user in the U75 Extras. It was the U66 Extras that had both the plugins-licensed and plugins-user folders. I apologize for the confusion.

To compile the v1.17 source, you can use the U75 extras and the source from that. As far as v1.19, you can use the source that is supplied in Google Code. I am not 100% certain if anything else is required, but you can check with either Scene Commander, s4real, or even Lewis to ask them for that answer.

Oh, yeah, I have the plugins-licensed folder.

I guess I'll download the U6.6 extras and see if I can compile the source with that user folder.

Thanks,
Captain Coder
