So i got this gfx card GTS 250 its Cuda supported and all. and i was wondering weather i could shift the load of game building (when i click build game it takes AGES calculating lights ) to it? i know it can be done on Adobe After Effects and all. Please dont kill me if i am asking something retarded ^^

Core 2 Duo E6550
3 GB Ram
GTS 250

Lightmapping isn't done by the GPU, so no CUDA support.

But it IS multithreaded! So get rid of your Core 2 Duo, and get a quad core and enjoy faster build times.

I have No problem with Duo core or even single

when you say it takes ages, please state what time it takes. also is your system clean from malware and spyware, and choca blocked cache files,

Please can you tell us what operating system your using, and also what software is running in the background and what memory is being used as to the amount of CPU is being used, you can find this al out by the task manager

Anyway, at the moment im testing large maps on a laptop with a duo core ~1.8 GHZ with 2 gig memory and a crappy 256 Dedicated memory intel GM 950 graphics.

and so with fall shaders on and shaddows on using a full size map @ 1.5 GB in size with over 700 entites and segments, its takes my lappy just over 3 minuites, and on Pc with Duo core at 3.0 Ghz and 3 gig mem and a FX 240 1gb about 1 -2 mins
