Hey all, New to the forum and FPS Creator. I downloaded the trial version of FPS 9, just to see how it would run on my machine, and so far, not well. Haha, I keep getting an error message \"Windows Vista UAC Detected\" I turned off the UAC, and I keep getting this message, I just installed Direct X 10. I am running Windows 7.

Thanks for the help in advance,

Hi,

Welcome to the forums.

You need to install Direct X9 as well, this can be installed to run alongside x10. I don't have a link to hand, but a quick search should find one.

hi BrixtonCat

Using developmet tools like FPSC

you would need to set your account privaliges

Goto control panel, user accounts and disable the user accounts controll to off as you have done ok

and when your going to install the program, just right click on it and you will get a menue , and so in the menue you select Run As administrator to install
im not 100% in this fact as im running Vista ultimate, but i do have win7 on other pc and have not installed yet , but it should be the same

But you would need to be logged in as the main account tho. hence if you have another account in you login tprior to the one you are using then you would need to make sure that your account is the administator
as mentioened, depending on you graphics card

Also if you have installed FPSC prior to making adjustments to your windows account , then please unistall then make ajustments then reboot and install

Also make sure you have disabled antivirus software before installing as the firewall may not enable the neworking features upon install

i hope this can help you m8

I'am not GOD but i can make you see again by taking my fingers out of your eyes and i can make you walk again by taking your beer away, but if you take my beer you will not walk again
