Dark GDK / Animator in need of help re: importing animation

Hi, I've been pointed in this direction. Im doing some animation using biped in 3dsmax, for a game that uses Dark GDK. Ive been told that i need to export to a .x file format. Ive tried using panda to do this but whenever i export the model is completely black and the animation is completely lost, it looks as though the bones are no longer there either. ive read that panda specifically should handle this situation but doesnt seem to.

Does anybody have any ideas as to alternatives?
