Quel you need a new computer
If you keep your case and all of your hard drives/cd drives etc. You'll be able to cut the price down to about 450$ for a very decent "lower high-end" computer.

(For some reason I've associated your voice with Barney from The Simpsons). But seriously, there's no arguing with a price like that. I probably went overkill with the motherboard, so you may be able to save another 40 $ or so, and you can even downgrade a bit with the CPU to a phenom x3 or something which will save you another 40 $. If you want 4 GB of RAM, you'll save another 20 $. That's already a price of
340 $ instead of
440 $.
The last thing you could do with that system is overclock it a bit. You'll easily get to 3.8 GHz with that CPU without extra cooling, and the graphics card can be increased by 20%-30% usually.
