3D Compo: Holiday Feelings

Tis the season, so make something to give us that Holiday Feeling. We all love the happy joyous feelings the Holiday brings, Toys, Decorations, People, Places. Let's see what you can build to capture those feelings.

Contest will run through to Dec 27th

Have fun!

Cheers!

erm, this is not a coding compo, it's a 3D modeling compo. We don't want you to create a game, we want you to build an object, or a scene that gives us that holiday feeling. It can be as simple as a tree ornament or a full winter wonderland.

You guys crack me up sometimes, If we were to have a "Build a box' compo we would get posts like "does it have to be square?" We make the themes to allow you to have fun and play with the themes. We are never going to be so specific as to say make a "Build a 9"x9" Box! compo" then state in the rules it must be square, it must be sitting on a flat side, only single color textures are allowed and lighting is optional.

Now, get with it, holiday season warm fuzzy feelings.. have fun!

Cheers!

Hi,

Is this comp open to anyone? I am still teaching myself how to model in Blender and my skills and limited. But, i would like to be involved in these sorts of competitions. I feel as though they will give me the motivation needed; plus, i will learn a thing or two.

We WANT you to compete! Like Quik said, it's for us all to improve our skills.

(as for myself)
I am still trying to think of something to do for this compo because I want to do a tree scene but unfortunately, i have little experience making plant models, Maybe some presents? I'll figure out something.

Well, there’s my final render. I learned quite a bit trying to bring it all together. I don’t think I did that bad; but with an 11 minute render time, I don’t think I’ll be using it in an animation anytime soon. XD

Merry ChristmaHonaKwanzika everyone.

Last Day, get any updates in now or we'll have to use the WIP entries.
