I have found a rare behaviour with textured matrixes. I send the whole code and files to test it. Could you help me ? I think it can be a bug or a problem of capacity...

This is a program that uses a virtual matrix with (4000 x 40 tiles ) and shows only ( 40 x 40 ). It works fine with wireframe view but crashes when using textured mode.

Why ?

Please, include any BMP file called ANYONE.BMP in your directory when testing.

Mark:

Thanks for your testing. The problem is when displaying the matrix using textured mode, I get a strange effect just in front the camera. I have test in another computer with a different video card and it's the same result. Plase, check that the surface shown just in front of you in displaying ok. Perhaps you'll need to use a multitexture bitmap, a 2 x 2 in order to realize the error.( I mean a bitmap with four different regions, a 2 x 2 matrix bitmap )

Thanks again

After half an hour of pulling my hair out, found the problem.

The minimum value for SET CAMERA RANGE should never be 0 as it causes all sorts of corruption. Change to 1 and all is well!

FYI - I had problems with a "serrated edge" type effect where objects met. I fixed this by hiking the minimum camera range up a bit more - 4 or 5 if I remember rightly.
