Hi.

I have noticed in some model packs available that some use .dds and others .tga, .png files, some with X_D2 X_N and X_I and some without.

Now i have converted all the .tga,.png files to .dds as i read it was faster. Some packs have textures with _I _N and some don't, they just have X.dd.

Now, my question is, would it make any difference if i created some X_I and X_N and change X.dds to X_D2.dds?

I am also changing the shader for these files to use an PS_4 shader.

I am using X10 version.

Many Thanks.

the X_I is an illumination map, the X_N is a normal map and the X_D2 is a displacement map. The only reason to create these files, is if you are using a shader on the object that requires them. Some models use shaders that don't use any of these files and some shaders do use these files. Hope that helps.
