First off, i DID NOT make this weapon.

This weapon was made by Darmic.

What i have done is listed below...

*created an entity pick up model
*created a weapon pickup script
*created a weapon pickup HUD
*re-textureed the weapon model
*revived this awesome weapon from the dead!

I don't know what the original licence was for this. But, obviously give credit to Darmic if you use it.

Obligatory screenshots
Blender Render

Pickup entity

Using the weapon

If you do want the weapon pickup script to work, just replace the 'weapon.fpi' with the 'weaponpickup.fpi' in the editor and everything else will fall into place.

Download

Enjoy

This is available on fps-files, actually it has been for quite a long time. If anyone wants an alternate download link,
http://fps-files.com/download.php?view.412

Hmm this one appears to have blood on it while the one posted here doesn't. At least in the screen shots. Just something to keep in mind.

Its not a good idea to release someone else's work without their consent, even if they themselves give it out for free.He might be fine with it but better to ask first.

I mentioned the fact that I have changed a few things. One being the blood on the blades. I figured that some people might not want to have stained scissors. Not if they have just picked them up in their kitchen to fend off an attacker!

Sorry, It was very late last night and i had been working on the model of the scissors for a while. Didn't even think to ask him. I will send him an email now. Thanks for the heads up.

Why would post approval be needed?

Why would post approval be needed? Because you realeased a model that was not yours to release. Simple as that.

You should remove the weapon and only have the new stuff in your download. And put a link to the place where you can download the weapon in your post.

Look what someone dug up, my old pair of scissors. Well, although it would have been best to ask me before posting this, there is no harm done. I never got to see what your modified version looked like, but I would like to. So, if you want to, feel free to upload your version, just maybe throw in something like, "original model by darimc" in a license or the first post.

No need for anyone to get worked up over this, I'm pretty understanding.

@darimc

I took down the link. I tried to get your permission, but, everyone was saying how i should take it down.

In my original post i did stipulate, "this is NOT my weapon, this was made by Darmic"

Which was followed at the end of the post by, "Remember, if you use this, give full credits to Darmic"

Sorry man. Took all the files down.
