while running a DBpro program, if the key 'cap lock' switched on or off the inkey$() and scancode commands or any special key will not be working until I re-run the software.

this problem doesn't exist on all computers ( it exist on my laptop but not desktop ).

any one has an idea of how to tackle this problem.

thank you.

doesn't matter if the caps left on/off before running the app. it is while running your app.

If inkey$ returns nothing, this sounds like a bug to me. You can probably work around by using get key state(0x14) to check whether the caps lock key is on. A dll call to user32.dll's SendInput function might be able to turn it off, but you'll have to get one of the dll wizards around here to help you with that.
