Why is there no place to go to buy/sell 2D packs of stuff?
That would be cool

Or maybe an AppGameKit store, cause I'm making a HUGEEEE pack of icons and buttons with up/down variations.

Oh God yes I want a 2D model pack please. I wish they had these, I been having to use free sites for my 2d models currently. I wish their was a cheap way to get good 2D models.

Well, i may be alone with this, but i can't seem to understand this pack thingy. Why would you use a model everybody else uses?

Though technically i have a guess on the main question: 2d stuff is much less customizable. Even if you like that specific stuff, you may not like the angle of it or whatever...

-In.Dev.X: A unique heavy story based shoot'em ~35%
-CoreFleet: An underground commander unit based RTS ~15%
-TailsVSEggman: An Sonic themed RTS under development for idea presentation to Sega ~15%

About 90% of projects made over all fail(Im not reffering to TGC only I mean RC, UDK, Torque, Unity 3d etc.). So out of the remaining 10%, a fraction of a percent will be successful. Besides TGC makes a killing off 3D models packs currently. Not every one does 3d software.

I think 2D sprite packs would be a very good idea. Lately I've been getting a lot of requests for 2d graphics for projects more so then 3D models. Then 90% of the time I end up creating a 3d model, animating it and then rendering out a sprite sheet for it.

Especially with the release of AppGameKit I think this would be something to look into. Currently you can buy SFX sprite packs, but nothing along the lines as actual characters, scenery, random objects.

Actually, I think I'll look into this more. Thanks for the idea.

I am worried about opening a web store... as I understand it... as long as my product or service is not in direct competition... but what if its a blend mixture?... How about if the products offered do not clash instead of being a similar service clash?

I want to open a free store wherr I either take a tiny 7% or nearby... or if the product is something I feel I may be able to use in my products I sell it for free... something along those lines... but I want to open a web store for fellow devs on here that will be feasable for everyone... I suppose I can charge the basic amount to cover say paypal merchant costs... but I will have to see how this bounces...

Argh... I would not want to conflict anywhere in between with TGC... but I do want to open this store for people to sell their products on... I plan for it to be manually managed too.

Another option is you can apply for my community service projects and sell your own items via paypal or your own channel via websites that you wil havel total control over... the projects are free but you can make a voluntary donation to me as appreciation or whenever you can to support the project.

More on this soon... got a hand full of websites to update tonight...

@MrValentine
I need to double check with brandyn but I think are websites merchant service is up/running if you want to sell some stuff. Other option is paypal but you have to do some html coding to work it into your site. I use to use paypal but when I upped site to Joomla, I can just use a plugin for merchants nows. Anyway you go, sign me up for some 2D packs when they go on sale where ever.
