The mere idea of overclocking a card as powerful as the nVidia GTX 580 is absurd. Well I don't care about that All of the statistical data below shows the program being used at maximum possible settings.

The system

CPU : AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 3.88 GHz
RAM : 8 GB Kinston @ 1666 MHz
GPU : nVidia GTX 580
PSU : 1000 W
OS : Win7 x64 ultimate

GPU before

Core voltage : 1.000 V
Core clock : 772 MHz
Shader clock : 1544 MHz
Memory clock : 2004 MHz

Heaven benchmark : Not_overclocked.png

GPU after

Core voltage : 1.138 V
Core clock : 880 MHz
Shader clock : 1760 MHz
Memory clock : 2050 MHz

Heaven benchmark : Overclock.png

Statistics of other games I played

Super Smash Bros Brawl - highest settings possible (including internal resolution hack)
Battle Field 3 - Ultra settings
StarCraft II - extreme settings

The card can still use some fine-tuning, and I noticed that games like BF3 have problems with an overclocked card, where "older" games allow me to reach frequencies of 950 MHz. The frequency 880 MHz is the maximum I can do without BF3 crashing.

Find it strange that you have a 6 core machine and its only using two of them like my 2 core system only wants to use one of them.

Would have thought they would have all been evenly spread out.

So this a new way of heating the room?

Dark Physics makes any hot drink go cold.
