I searched terrains in the board and most all posts are 2006 and 2007. Was wondering now that it is 2011 if there is a program or way to import small terrains into the game? Like Sketchup, Terragen, or 3ds Max and can export in .x format? I just bought the game and hope this has been remedied since the older posts.

I think T.ED is what you are looking for.

I used Blender. It works great. If you want I can create a few terrain models. Make them into enities and you just drop them into FPSC. You have to be careful how you use it, coz the AI has collision problems with terrain if its not done correctly.

My favourite, and my far the best I have ever used (and I have used many) is L3DT.

That's cool, actually currently I have Terragen 2 so hopefully I can make a few there. Was curious because reading the older posts most told how you can not properly use graded type terrains. Thanks for the input hopefully I can get a demo out soon.

I've discovered scultpris is very effective, with no player collision problems even on larger pieces of terrain. However you of course have to use the reduce brush.

Hey all,

So I thought I would show you some of the expirementing I've been doing with the FPSC engine. It is quite do-able to have nice open terrain in your game. I'll post some more screens soon.
PS! Excuse the frame rate on these. I'm running FPSC on my laptop at the moment until I get a proper desktop.
