Hi all,

For the past few weeks Mike has been creating a web portal for the Game Creator Store. Phase one of this process is about 95% complete and we would like to share where we have got upto so that we can see what you think of it.

Game Creator Store Web Portal

You can only view objects in the site at present. Phase 2 will deal with buying points.

The music files cannot be previewed yet either.

Please post your feedback here.

Cheers,

Rick

Looks very clean and easy to use Related items and linking to Author are good features.

In Chrome, it looks like you need a few pixels on the right hand side of the item description panel, it is flush up against the side.

Looking very good! I really like that we can direct link to item listings now.

Just a few issues...

When you are looking at an artist's gallery the default sorting didn't make sense to me. It seems like there should be a sort by name option.

If you are on the properties tab of an item with a video, the pictures will pop up behind the video if you click them.

On the image pop up, the close (x) and item name (pillbox) have hairlines at the edges from bad alpha masking or something.

Looks great, and even took it for a spin on our Android phone browser. Now I can shop anytime (my wife is groaning now)

This was just the inspiration I needed to start whipping up some more store content for the New Year. Thanks for the sneak peak, Rick!

Will come in handy for 201X GCS Additions threads!

This looks wonderful! everything seems much more accessible than in the actual application. I think I like best how you can group things by type (character, segment, etc.). My only complaint is that it doesn't show prices below.

This thing is fantastic. Until I checked this out I didn't realize there were so many characters, weapons and segments available. Perhaps it's time I signed up for the GC Store!

Thanks TGC for the effort to keep us happy!

Funny, the GCS says there aren't any skyboxes available, but the Web Portal says there are a total of 74 . I'd really like to get my hands on some of Rolfy's beautiful skyboxes, guess I'll wait 'till phase two is done.

Very Nice, Very Clean, Very Cool.

Just an off-topic question, as i also work with web design (php), in this site you used a pre-made php shopping, or did you create it from scratch.

Indeed, it is an awesome work.

Congratulations to all TGC folks.

I'm glad you did this. Although I like the ability to access the store through FPSC editor, this portal is also going to be a big plus for me. It is also a great big step for TGC and those who have created the models in order to sell them to other game developers who do not use DBP and FPSC. Kudos to TGC. I'm sure this was in plans for the store all along.

A suggestion which you probably are already considering: Sub categories for the larger categories such as "indoor" and "outdoor" categories. As far as the look; well, it looks great. Easy to navigate. Simple to use. Really clean as 007 has said. I like the "related products" tab when you bring up the item you are interested in purchasing. That can be very useful.

. . . and phase three will allow us to use points.

Is the music review also in phase 2?
