Runtime error 1511 - display cannot be created due to invalid function parameters at line 0 any help coz i have no idea i recently updates to dx9.0b and undated the drivers for my TNT2 i'm running windows ME if thats any help

It could actually be a WinME/DX9.0 bug, I strongly suggest you use Win98se instead of ME, ME is a disease that M$ inflicted on PC users so they could charge a fortune for Windows XP Professional.

Make sure your not trying to run a 24-bit graphics mode. In addition, make sure your not trying to use some wierd graphics mode.

You must have a 16 MB TNT.
This error happens when you don't have enough video memory.
Try a different video card driver or get a 32MB card.

Are there any graceful ways to have DBPro adjust the video display so that this error does not happen for an end user? <So I don't have to preach to them that THEY have the wrong video mode running > The only way I know if is not to run in windowed mode but in exclusive mode <and for XP that's frowned on.... >
I have seen some code that will change displays and others that will not, I havn't been able to pin it down yet.
Plus for any error that occur at Line 0, how the hll do we catch <do any thing about> these errors if the error occurs before any of our code has even ran yet?
