With only a week to go until Revolutions opens I'm getting pretty excited. Anyway, I recall a few people didn't like the extended (6 minute long) fight scenes in Reloaded. Well, a word of warning, apparently the Neo/Agent Smith fight goes for a whole 14 minutes so you may want to skip this movie or go out for a piss break when it's playing.

I LOVE the fight scenes. Watched the making of Revolutions on Channel 5 on Sunday night and looks like old Smithy is a very important character.

I've already got my ticket for Nov 5th, 5-30pm

I could rush back to my PC and post the complete plot if you want and spoil it for everyone.

Maybe not!

I like the big gnarly robots - they are pretty cool, 'cause I think everyone was wandering about how they could possibly fight those octopus things. I can picture the movie already though, starts slow - then Smith and Neo fight for a bit, with Smiths Xion clone guy, then the machines attack, then while the machines attack Neo and Smith have their long fight.

Then Trinity discovers that Neo is her brother, and that PVC gives her a rash.

Quite...

Looking forward to this - I'll wait a week for the queues to reduce to a more acceptable level before I go to see it.

'Trinity is Ghosts sister'

Er, no... or else Ghost has some mental problems that need resolving. It's made clear in Enter the Matrix that he's in love with Trinity.

lol loads of time in a day to do them all!
6:00am---wake up/eat/wash etc
6:30am---enter the matrix
-
3:00pm---start the matrix
approx 2hrs?
5:00pm---start the matrix reloaded
approx 2hrs?
7:00pm---finish all those and go and see revolutions

just adjust the time you wake up based on the time you go to watch revolutions. its all good!

yeah but he's also in Revolutions... and you can't play in that order, EtM has to come after the Matrix
but still look at the actual arguments, your isn't the only one mouse and i don't believe it was a direct accusation.

It will be the best movie ever made.

The soundtrack was leaked a few weeks ago, and it's extremely beautiful.

Reviews came out a week or two ago, the critics loved it.

You can determine half the plot by watching the trailer, and if you really watch it there's a LOT of interestings things that you pick up.

Has anyone seen the MTV movie awards parody of reloaded?

LOL! If you haven't, DOWNLOAD IT. It's absolutely hilarious. Will Farrel as the architect...

Neo: "Who are you?"

Will Farrel (WF) (as the architect): "I am the architect. I created the Matrix. And several popular video games. Such as Qubert, and dick duck."

Justin Timberlake (JT) and Sean William Scott (SWS) (laughing): "Remember that?"

WF: "I didn't create frogger. But I came up with the name for it. Can you believe they wanted to call it highway crossing frog?"

SWS: "That's so lame!"

WF: "I know. It's the lamest thing I ever heard of."

Neo: "Why am I here?"

SWS & JT: "Yeah, why are we here?"

WF: "Is there an echo in here?"

(an echo occurs, lol)

WF: "The MTV movie awards are a systemic anomaly in the matrix. Although the transport process has altered your consciousness you irrevicably remain human. Ergo...concordantly...visive...you know what? I have no idea what the hell I'm saying. I just thought it would make me sound cool."

Lol, and it goes on like that...just watch it.

Didn't catch that one but I saw the LOTR one with Jack Black and Sarah Michelle Gellar last year. 'Twas quite humorous indeed.

Hopefully Matrix 3 will be better than the last one I reckon. 2nd one wasn't a patch on the 1st. And "that" fight scene was a little boring. And I really love that kind of fight scene too.

Incidentally, is that young bloke who follows them around geekly for a while, the same one as the kid who falls off the school roof in Animatrix? There seem to be a couple of references in the film, but bugger if I can be bothered to really look into it.

I was thinking the same thing.

Well I'm looking forward to the movie. I just rented the second one the other day, so it's fresh in my mind. I'm sure most of you have figured that the real world is probably just another matrix.

I also saw the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Its worth watching if you like that kind of movie. I also think I'll go see the director's cut of Aliens.

The Animatrix is mostly awful (due to the poor animation) - the only decent one being the Flight of the Orsiris.

Was interesting to learn how the Matrix came about though.

Huh? Are we talking about the same movie here? Animatrix was exelent, the quality of animation (along with the broad arry of styles) was very nice, alot better than some other animated films, expecaly since it wasn't released to theaters. Look at Disney, if it's not box office it's crap, Did the Secret of Nyhm 2's (basterds should've left it alone)animation have, what, 3 frames a second? True it does't match the classics, (Akira has the best to date) but it could have been worse.

IMO some of the Animatrix was excellent (Second Reansconce (sp?), Final Flight) while others were just bad like the one with the detective and the one with the bloke that follows them around - if that is indeed him.

Yes, the kid in reloaded is the one from the animatrix. What gives it away?

Animatrix:
"Neo....I knew you would save me."
"I didn't save you kid. You saved yourself."

Reloaded:
"You saved me!"
"I told you kid, I didn't save you, you saved yourself."

Oh, and I liked World Record (thought the animation was odd at times though) and Kid's story. I also liked the second renaissance and I just undoubtedly spelled 'renaissance' wrong but oh well, heh.

Will have to watch Animatrix again, is supposed to have links to the 3rd one too.

Yeah, thought that the "real" world is also a matrix as soon as he could control the squid thingies with his mind at the end. Would explain lots. Very 13th floor though (is that what the film was called? can't remember 100%).

I can't stop watching the Matrix Reloaded, it's now my favourite movie of all time! I love that fight scene! I love the music during the fight scene! I'd dump the love scene though! Or mix it with something better that an orgy! I think that Neo and Agent Smith might be connected in some way! Maybe the good and Bad side of the same person. Like Good Kirk Bad Kirk in the teleporter accident. Just a guess, not giving the plot away!

I don't see how that could be entirely true, I mean wouldn't the machines all die if there was no power? So a system crash killing everyone would cut the power and stop the machines in Zion so wouldn't the human race survive?

"I mean wouldn't the machines all die if there was no power?"

surely they have betteries

i saw reloaded last week and it was *%%#ing awesome. i want to see revolutions but.. somehow i doubt the theater lines will be decently sized for about 2 weeks. not to mention there aren't too many good theaters around here. there's the one big one, and it has four huge screens with nice sound systems, then after a movie's been out a little while they move it into a screen the size of a large living room with a sound system worse that what's in my van. though with such a high-profile movie i doubt they'd downgrade it..

stop looking at me!

They clearly say in Reloaded that "there are levels of survival we are prepared to accept." They can live without humans to power them.

You're all missing most of the major points that are coming up in Revolutions.

Have any of you seen the previews?

I REALLY hope you know about Neo and his blindfold. Because that's a major plot event in Revolutions.

In case you haven't seen the trailer, let me quote this for you:
"Neo is trapped in a place between this world and the machine world."

ALSO something to point out, remember how Morpheous says that there was a savior who "freed the first of us," and who created the prophecy? That was the 6th Neo. Now here's the 7th.

The biggest question is what is the "place" Neo is trapped in.

And if you think that Neo being able to stop the machines is a matrix within a matrix plot...then you're not the sharpest fish on the tree.

And there's so much more that none of you have talked about, but I have to go read Hamlet now.

Quoth, lol, why do you want to know this now? YOU'RE DOING WHAT I DID FOR RELOADED: SPOILING IT FOR YOURSELF! Lol. It's all fine and dandy that you know all this before the movie is released, but I'd prefer to know NOTHING about it. I knew NOTHING about the first Matrix, loved it. Knew EVERYTHING about the second matrix, HATED it. Saw one trailer for the third,

...let's find out.

I get the feeling that the last film will have a really cra*py ending! One thing I don't like about any of the Matrix films are those Octapus type robots. I think they look sucky! Wish they weren't in there at all. They seem to play a big part in the last film, so that will annoy me somewhat. Can 3 be better than the other two? Will it go too far with the long fighting scenes? At least there won't be another love scene I hope.
