While they may look cool, they could potentially blind someone and I think it would be a foolish idea to point two powerful lasers directly into a crowd.

Perhaps try to come up with a concept that doesn't have lasers pointing directly into a crowd?

Especially the power of lasers you bought. You're American, right?

'Cos they aren't even legal here in little Britain. Stuff like that got banned because of blinding. xD

Perhaps you could rig up a cool reflection system in the eyeholes so the lasers bounce around and create a pentagon or something in your eyeholes?

It does look cool, but I too wonder about the safety...

I guess that something like this is precisely calculated for saftey like in BigAdd's link??

Alright... it does look pretty cool How's about sticking a really low power lens in front of each one to spead the light a little bit? You could probably get a good ratio of mid-air visibility to safety with a little tuning.

Those are usually 20 mW lasers I think. It hurts if you get a blast in the eye, but there's no permanent damage. DJ Almix, you bought some pretty powerful lasers I seem to remember... 200 mW or something? It does look very cool, but that could potentially blind someone permanently, please be careful.

well, usually there's smoke machines, won't the lower power lasers be able to be seen better with the smoke machineS?

Just as a clarification, these lasers are not as powerful as they look, I used a LOT of fog when I filmed this.

From the link I posted, there are obviously legislations in place which restrict what you can point into a crowd in terms of lasers.

I would be very surprised if what you have created doesn't break those rules. If you go to a public venue with this headset, you are not only putting people in the crowd at risk, but if someone were blinded, you would be in a lot of trouble.
