Hello, 3D professionals!

Please give me some advice on the following topic:

There is a complex 3D model having textures produced in Cinema 4D.
What I need to know is how to convert this model with textures in 3ds format (exactly, the textures which are inside .3ds).
Or, how to convert the same thing into any other 3D format, except for FBX, where model and textures will be in the only file.
Or, is it possible to insert that 3D model in C4D, 3ds or FBX format using any programming language in a way so that textures will be uploaded from BMP files?

Anything else like shadows or lighting doesn`t matter.

Thanks for your help!
