Hi all,
This will be probably my next model pack. I decided to continue theme of world war 2, but this time I'm working on something different, not on the weapons (I'm still working on improving my last ww2 weapons pack, which is roughly finished - Thread here).
I started work on this project a few months ago, but is still many things to do. Ok, The Package will contain models such as: vehicles (tanks, trucks, cars etc.) airplanes (including flying airplanes like Junkers Ju-87 for example), railways, railways carriages, buildings (such as hangars and other buildings), boxes and many more.
I was too busy recently and the package does not contain too many models at this moment, but I will work on it very hard, when I'll finish work on the ww2 weapons pack completely.
Also I'm planning to create some ww2 opponents. But that's very time-consuming task
Well, Now is time for a few screenshots (from the 3D software and FPSC) and short movie. The movie showing a flying Junkers Ju-87.
I hope, that I will often update this thread.

By the way, maybe someone has a better idea how to call this model pack. Any ideas are welcome.

Enjoy watching:

@ BSP,

These look great. Nice to have some of the Mechanized Division or Mechanized Brigade of WW2 make an appearance. Looking forward to this pack.

At your leisure, I dispatched an email to you.

Regards.

BSP, this looks fantastic. I've recently got a couple of ideas for WW2 games, and this looks absolutely fantastic for the games.

I'm also very glad to hear you're still working on your weapons pack; I'll be buying it soon. BTW, will that weapons pack update feature cock animations on all the weapons? I didn't see one for the Luger, MP 40, etc. Sorry to bring that up here, but there wasn't a response in the other thread.

One request (and it isn't that important), but would it be possible to multiples of the same vehicle but with different nationality's colors? I know this won't be possible with all of them, as some of the vehicles were exclusive to some nations, but it would be very cool to have US trucks and train cars. But like I said, it isn't important.

When it's all said and done, everything here is fantastic!

Thank you,
Captain Coder

Yes, I added the cock animations to these weapons. Not all of course, because weapons like Kar98 or Mosin, don't need this animation.
BTW. The update is almost done, but still I must improve a few things. I really would like to release it in this year, but do not know if I succeed.

This looks great and the plane is amazing! Good work.

I'd love to buy this pack and your weapon pack but the weapons look stubby, can't quite put my finger on it.

This looks great, and is already on my to buy list when you're finished. If you're doing ww2 transport, I think you would need to included allied as well as axis vehicles. If you're looking for some ideas, may I suggest a few.

Horsa Glider
Duck landing craft
Jeep
SAS Jeep (a very different animal)
motor cycle and side cars.

Anyway, keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to this.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm planning to create some allied vehicles and your suggestions are very good, but a few of them will be difficult to do I hope, however, that I'll make it.

Probably the pack will be contained not only vehicles but also some different things like buildings for example (probably also some interesting segments) and I'm wondering about a soldiers, as I wrote before. The civilian cars, is also a good idea. Thanks @J Swain

I didn't want to show a swastika on the forum, because this mark is prohibited in many countries

I'm not sure if the planes actually had swastikas - I thought they just used the black cross.

Quote: "This looks great, and is already on my to buy list when you're finished. "

Same here. Just might take awhile for me to order (it always does )

Quote: "If you're doing ww2 transport, I think you would need to included allied as well as axis vehicles."

I feel the same way (but I think I said that above). Since the trucks have no evidence of being made specificaly by a German company, than it would even be easier to make allied version(s) of it. A simple rexture replacing the German's black cross with an allied symbol/flag in the appropriate place should work as far as I can see. Sorry to bug you about the trucks; they look so awesome I'd hate to see them go to use only for the bad guys!

I would like to see some more characters for both sides as well.

Keep up the awesome work BSP!

Captain Coder

EDIT:

Got the video to load and heard the cool airplane fly-over sound effect. Will that be included in the pack as well?

Vent is correct. You can see it "Where Eagles Dare" or "Indiana Jones". The planes with just a cross is from WW1 i think.

Your not allowed sell models through TGC which contain content and emblems which may offend such as the 'Swastika' which is a shame because it denies authentic detail from WW2 models.

You could release like a texture pack for this that includes those symbols.

Well, is it allowed to have the swastika in my game? Because i've made banners and flags with that symbol on it for it.

@Ross tra damus is right. The official MP cannot contain any nazi symbols.
Also in the games, swastika is a prohibited in many countries(especially in Germany and USA).
I played in many ww2 games and I haven't seen any swastika in most of them (in the RtCW, COD, COD2 for example). I saw only a cross instead of swastika on the flags, airplanes and so on.

All the Wolfenstein series includes swastikas everywhere. And i played a game once that had nazi banners with just a + on it where the swastika should have been. But enough about that, let's go back to the topic.

Strange, in my stock WW2 media, I've a swastika on the fireplace and probably on other scenery elements. ( I'm from France, maybe the law about nazi references is different )

BTW : great pack.

How is a modern jet related to World War Two?

A Me262 or Kikka however would fit. But they aren't modern.

Quote: "Also in the games, swastika is a prohibited in many countries(especially in Germany and USA)."

Nazi Swastikas are legal in the US, I assume you don't see it in games because you're in Poland, I presume it's illegal in Poland.

No matter, the Iron Cross is enough to suffice.

Pack looks good cannot wait. Oh by the way Nazi symbolism was looked into by the EU in 2005 and 25 coutries looked at whether it should be banned or not. The result was the EU did not ban its usage as it is a freedom of expression especially the swastika which was used by the Romans on their standard bearer's and even on statues of Budda's......

If you need clarification just google it.

Please remain on topic, this is World War II, not modernday . On the note of a fighter jet, there are a couple in the TGC store sold by TGC under "vehicles" (one is Russian I think, and the other is blank white - perfect for retexturing). Hope they suit your needs.

Moving on...

Yes, it certainly is

Very interesting!

I sure hope some of the "generic" vehicles will have allied as well as axis symbols on them.

NICE! I'd really love to have that Jeep in my museum level. A room devoted to WW2 would be stellar and somewhat cannon to my story.

@BSP: Hat's off to you for making such splendid models in Wings3D! Have no idea how you did that (sorry, but I really dislike both Wings and Blender), but excellent job.

Do you think you could include a US Sherman Tank in the pack as well?

A note about the locomotive: I used to love trains when I was little and (used to ) know a lot about them, and I vividly remember that some had lots of little metals rods crossing along the boiler tank (the rounded part in front of the driver's cab ). If the model is already creeping into the high-poly territory, then don't worry about it, most people probably won't know the difference these days . I don't have a picture to show everyone what I mean either, so unless you were willing to look something up on Google images I wouldn't worry about it. Also, the actual bolts on the texture look good, but they might look a better if they are smaller, as trains are huge in comparison to people.

Awesome job,
