I'd like to make a few city-like out-side areas but I just can't seem to make them look good. I need help with a few things, please

1. How can I make a sun that actually looks, "good". I know I can place a light really high up and make it huge but that just doesn't seem to look good at all.

2. How can I make it outside, but not looking off the edge of the map? I know I can box it off but I can't find a good way of doing that. thanks!

Help.

1. Look for the direction of the sun and place a relatively large light there, and get a good lighting colour (yeah, Aussie so what) too.
2A. Place some sort of roadblock entity with invisible segments in front of it to block the player about 5-10+ segments away from the edge of the map.
2B. Put some building entities at the edge and a fence in between them to prevent the player getting through.

1. Not sure, I haven't really done many outdoor maps, maybe about 2-3 quarters of the area of the level you have used up, so say if you have 25 segments in the map total, you would make it about 18-19 segments in size, and it should originate in the direction of the sun in the map\skybox.

2. Yep, it's probably the best method you could use.
