Hello Folks,

Just a question to me understand what happens. I noted that when i use FPSC for a lot of time, when a build a lot of tests, play, and such, suddenly the game test begins to lag, but it does not lag all the game, just when it first begins the test game, sometimes it stays freezed, in the very beginning of the test game, for 5 or 10 seconds until it runs normal.

This is not a question of the map, or the poly count in scene, because i test with the stock scenes (simple.fpm, ww2.fpm,...).

But i noted that when it happens, i just reinstall any update of FPSC (not reinstall from scratch) and then everything comes back to normality.

Is there some kind of "cache files" in FPSC, that after you do a lot of tests, they begin to use a lot of memory in system?

I always use FPSC cleaner to clean the dbo and bin files, but whenever i get this lag in test game, it only is solved by reinstalling an update of FPSC.

Does anyone has an idea because i think is very annoying having to reinstall fpsc updates a lot of times repeatedely.

Thanks,

007

you may be using too many enemies, and your objects you're using might also be too high-polygon.

also try out the performance patch "The Zombie Killer" whipped up the other day.

@007

Yes, try my performance patch and also, FPSC does indeed have cache files, they are in your temp folder and are named dbpdata, dbpdata2, dbpdata3 etc.
