what is the best possibility to learn Darkbasic ?

I have expirience in Visual Basic 6 and .NET but I miss a tutorial who starts by zero.

I want to make a project for CNC machines. I want to build a cnc machine and make a simulation where it is important to move objects in 3D and change other objects if I have a collision.

Here is a movie what I want to do with Darkbasic:

Do you think that is possible? I think it is not a problem to move objects. But how can I make the material removement like the movie ?

Anything is possible with a programming language but I don't know how to do that. Sorry

It is possible to do that with the CSG commands, but you'd have to optimize the whole process to avoid massive slowdowns. It's at a very high level, so someone that's new to DBP is most likely not going to succeed at first attempt. I suggest starting off with simpler tasks until you find yourself experienced enough.

but is there any written manual to start with the software. That is what I mean.

the new manual is better than the old one. But I miss a project from 0 to 100 %.

Easy project, not very complex. That is what I need.

Is there anyone who have expirience in a project with CNC machine?

i think your biggest obstacle is the fact that dbpro is NOT multi threaded, so your performance is going to be rather woeful. I think in this case you might want to look at another engine

Or a combination of engines... Such as Dark GDK with DBPro or Pure GDK with DBPro.

Tutorials... HANDS ON DARK BASIC 1-2 Are a must have... or search for TDK's tutorials on the forum. (scroll down and look for search box for entire forum and type TDK tutorial.)

Here is the best written guide and manual I could find. I use it. It has plenty of sample media and source code to work with. And this is way better than the hands on dbpro series from my perspective

And there is always the Dark Principals DVD set to study.

This is what got me started with DBP but I didn't have any programming experiece before so it may be to "basic" For example the first thing it does is explain what a variable is...

I agree. It isn't possible to use the GDK with DBPro because the GDK is DBPro with C++. Good try though
