Hello everyone,

I made this model in the past few days for a project that I am currently working on. I made it with Blender 3D v1.61, and I am using the item flash shader, by Bond1, on the Spherical part. I would love to see what people thought about it, cause I don't want to waste to much time if it looks terrible. The model is 5.5 FPSC units tall.

That is awesome. Fantastic texture and shader work on that. I'm not sure if that shader supports normal maps, but if it does I would lower the poly count and really try to push the normals, as that is a "little" too high for a single fpsc prop. Of course, if this will be an important piece of your game or a centerpiece, it is just right. Either way, fantastic job. I love the texture.

Also.. is that a texture seem on the front of the trunk in the screenshot, or just the angle?

Thanks,

It is the centre piece in my game, so there will be only one of them. That was as low poly as I could get it, without making it look too stupid.

The seem is on the model; I still need to make some finishing touches to the texture.

Thanks everyone,

I downloaded the static entity shader, thanks to bond1, and just started to make the normals for it.

Uber

P.S. Is it possible to it have it bump mapped as well as shaded at the same time, or am I not getting this shading stuff?

that shader supports a normal map, which is basically bump in my opinion.

Very cool model! Love the concept, we could definitely use more outside-the-box fantasy style media around here.

Excited to see any other creations

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Ok, I downloaded the photoshop plugin filter for the normal maps.

I will get started on it right away tomorrow morning, just to tired to figure it out right now.
