Hey there,

I dowanloaded the latest msi file from my Order History.
Yet everytime i try to install it it gives me the folowing error:

I need this update to see if my apps runs with the agk viewer.

I have no such thing as AppGameKit1042.msi in my downloads folder.

Cheers,

Have you uninstalled any previous versions of AppGameKit?

hmm...
how are you downloading the file? HTTP direct or using some sort of boosting app?

Have you got an antivirus app?

Which browser are you using to download?

Are yu downloading on the same machine to install onto?

EDIT

I could have left this out but I spaced out my questions to make it easier for you to copy and paste haha ^^

It's an interesting error. Are you connected to the internet when you install it? That might be when it tries to connect to TGC in order to check the product keys. If you are connected maybe your anti-virus or firewall is preventing a connection from the app?

It's interesting that it says 1042.msi though, you'd expect 1065.

- Same Machine

Indeed. I will try with internet switched off. Or allow the install program to have acces to the internet.

I did found anohter thread and I tried the solution given for this problem, but with no luck.

Try copying the installer onto the desktop and run it from there. Could be if the older version of the installer is in the same folder it is getting confused somehow (maybe a setting in the new installer wasn't updated or something)?

Have you tried right-clicking on the installer icon and ensuring that it has run permission in properties?

@Red Eye : Did you solve this? I am curious to the solution if you did. Not come across this installer issue before.

I drink tea, and in my spare time I write software.
