I downloaded the Alienware competition DBPro. I get file access errors attempting to access Showcase and Usage examples. I have programmed in many dialects of Basic, I just need some syntax clues. Is there a complete help file somewhere?

maybe the help system didn't install or is somehow corrupt or misplaced. see if you can find the files manually in the sub directories - maybe reinstall DBP.

sounds wierd.

I haven't heard of this problem with the trial. Could you look in the 'help' directory and see if the html files are there?

When I click on Command Help, then on Commands, Then on core,then on CASE for example I get a brief description of CASE. If I click on Showcase example or Usage example, I get IE file not found errors. I have searched the directories, but I am not coming up with the additional help files.

If memory serves me, its because there aren't any with the demo. Only the full version has the Usage and Showcase examples. However, if you need any help with the syntax just post your questions here. There are plenty of people here that would be glad to help you out.

also, unbelievably, about 50% of the time, the Showcase and Usage examples DO NOT contain an example of the command that brought you there
