Heres a composition of some of the literary 3d models for DT.
scrolls and other things after I have moved.

I made these a few days ago now since most of the my stuff is packed up for moving so no more new shots for a couplaweekz.

Link from the milkshape site forum post as I dont have my domain or netspace up yet.

Hi David, that looks really nice and most of all looks sutable for game. For the text, have you writed texts yourself and if yes, is there writen something senseful or its just bunch of letters grouped together to look like text. (I mean text on textures)

Can you post later wiremesh pictures, 100 polys looks a lot to me, but I might be mistaken... (lot for such a model, not lot for game)

Looking great Indi, how do they work though?

I mean, you say the pages change, so I'm assuming that the left and right pages are seperate limbs which you texture with code. I reckon that if you added a middle page, you could have an awesome page turning system, just make the extra page and have an animation of the book opening, and the page turning. A lot of messing about I know, but damn that would be a nice effect.

P.S. Good luck with the move.

thanks guys, perhaps the information is misleading.

the pages dont turn, but thats an interesting idea to try after the move as an alternative feature.

I can imagine one page flipping over then going under the book in a half hidden loop so it appears another page would change.
This would allow for page flipping in either direction.
Interesting idea to explore after ive settled in.

What im referring to is the models book cover and pages can be replaced since they are localised textures for creation of more books without any more UV map fiddling.

HaHa the words denograte XXXXXXX and XXXXXX for dicking me around but no one can read the filth i wrote lmao.

Yeah, that's the idea - you could have it like a spell selector maybe, like you flick through the pages till you find the spell - perhaps even make it so you can steal pages too .

Hehe, I love putting little secrets into stuff, it's like a joke you can laugh at yourself and nobody else knows about it. I remember at school, our technology teacher was a prat - so I would get the CAD software and replace a full stop with a tiny picture of our teachers face doing something unspeakable . He never bothered checking why the the plotter would go nuts at the end of some text.
