Ok I have used search and it seems a lot of posts say to use the game build settings to change the skybox, well the free version doesn't offer build settings.

The manual (pdf) says put it in my fpi which I have created and attached to an entity.

The sound I added plays, but the skybox does not load... here is what I am using and file does exist

:sky = skybank\TGC\City.fpk

I tired it without the : as well

Thanks!

I am unfamiliar with the free version of FPSC...

In the full version (if you are testing a level), you navigate to the folder languagebank\english\gamebank\mygame and look at the setuplevel.fpi file. In that file you will see:

:state=0:sky=skybank\ww2\gas

In my skybank folder, I have a ww2\gas subfolder where the gas skybox resides. If we want to change it, then we edit the line I mentioned and put the path to where the skybox file(s) reside.

Change it in setuplevel.fpi

Files\languagebank\english\gamebank\mygame

The Fox beat me to it.

This requires a duel, slippers at dawn.

when you say "its all garbage", do you mean when you are in the level and move around, the sky seems to be "black" and objects distort that black space and makes it look tripped-out?

If so, then that is because you either have an error in the script for the skybox line or the path you are specifying does not exist.

However, you may need to be a bit more descriptive if the above is not what you are referring to.
